Eat
Food, Not Profits!: How Computers Can Save Your Restaurant
Not altogether thorough but
much good information on restaurant hardware and software.
Considering the lack of good sources on this subject, this book is
practically the quintessential tome. Includes a directory of
35 categories of restaurant software.

High-Tech
Careers for Low-Tech People
I decided to make a career change into
the high tech field three months ago, and the first and best thing
I did was read Bill Schaffer's book. I'm extremely grateful I did
because he saved me time by bringing together information that I
was only finding piecemeal spread over several career websites.
His listings and descriptions of low-tech jobs available in
high-tech companies is priceless as he details jobs in the computer
industry without going over the head of a low-tech like
myself. -- Gregg K., San Jose, CA
